Before India's match with England in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had revealed Indian cricket team's alternate jersey.

The Indian team donned the new jersey during their World Cup match against England on Sunday. Mehbooba Mufti's comments came after India lost to England by 31 runs.

While England scored 337 runs, India managed to score 306 runs in 50 overs.

Meanwhile, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah questioned India's "listless" performance against England in the World Cup on Sunday.

He wondered whether the Indian team would have put up a better show if its place in the semi-finals of the tournament was at stake.

"Would the batting be as listless if our place in the semifinals was at stake here rather than England's and Pakistan's? #CWC19," Omar Abdullah tweeted.
