Well it depends on what the naval planners will do.

There is likely the revival of off-shore bombardment which were done by battleships but this type of vessel would be smaller and uses smaller guns although a 155mm EM railgun is just as powerful as a 400+mm naval gun and the projectile the railgun would discharge can't be easily intercepted by CIWS guns and missiles.

Another one would be future naval ship design have some stealth designs.

Anyways, there are more evidence on the seafloor of that area, but it seems the interest is more on the large battleship

On a side note, i have been to Southern Leyte about 4 years ago with a group of other Japanese history group, we were able to take a ship to the Leyte Gulf and with some American veterans and local Pinoy tour guides. Such pleasant calm waters and the beauty of the area masks the fact that some 70 years ago, the area was the site of the largest naval engagement in the history of the world.
