(CNN)Japan suffered its biggest natural population decline ever this year, government statistics show.

The fast-graying nation also posted a record-low birthrate, as the estimated number of babies born in 2018 dipped to 921,000 -- the lowest since records began in 1899 -- according to a report published Friday by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
The number of newborns is estimated to have shrunk by 25,000 from 2017, and the figure remains under the 1 million mark for the third year running.
Deaths in 2018 also hit a postwar record high of 1.369 million, with a natural population decline of 448,000 -- the highest ever.

Japan is a "super-aged" nation, meaning more than 20% of its population is older than 65. The country's total population stands at 124 million this year -- but by 2065 it is expected to have dropped to about 88 million.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wants to prevent the population from dropping below 100 million by 2060. In 2017, the government announced a 2 trillion yen ($18 billion) spending package to expand free preschool for children aged 3 to 5 -- and for children aged 2 and under from low-income families -- and cut waiting times at day care centers.

No doubt electromagnetic and chemical environment caused by mobile networks, batteries, rare earth metals in wind and solar power farms, radiation from computer screens cause infertililty and impotency and autism, reducing birth rate, because capitalist society is driven by profit, harms the environment.

Surely you jest? I'm sorry, I don't know the sensibilities of undertakerwwefan well enough to immediately detect this as satire or sarcasm. Of course, anyone who is a World Wrestling Entertainment fan must have an EXTREMELY high tolerance for fabulism.

On a more serious note, we should all be grateful to the Japanese for doing this experiment in letting a nation's wealth run down as if it were a charged up battery being slowly discharged. The Japanese may answer the age old economic question about whether (or not) growth is necessary for a healthy and fulfilling human culture.

Oh come now. Have you not seen the Godzilla movies about the effects of all the things he has mentioned. Obviously, he regards them as factual documentaries. :D

This is because people in Japan have low birthrate, and a long life expectancy.

Yes.

The world's population will soon decline in another few decades and thus not every country has the privilege of using migration to mitigate the effects of an aging population. The world at large should start learning how to cope with the effects of an aging population and how to enhance our people's well-being with little economic growth in the long term.

And I think Japan is doing a pretty good job. Although the economy is stagnant, their social indicators are ahead of most other developed countries. Their society also isn't as fractious and filled with tensions and hatred, unlike many Western developed countries which relied too much on immigration to power the economy but losing the society's cohesiveness in the process.

Low birthrate because of infertility and impotency caused by electromagnetic radiation and chemical poisoning and radiation poisoning 5G mobile network screens batteries and all that.

Perhaps. But shouldn't a nation that produces the most powerful wrestlers in the world have the wherewithal to recover? If the Japanese Government set up Sumo wrestler sperm banks, with free dispensing to any Japanese woman, the entire situation could turn around on a yen!

I mean you have a point with those pictures. Japanese don’t put much importance on kids anymore as they’re some of the hardest workaholics on earth.

No problem!

South Asians are always there to fill the numbers once immigration for Japan is opened. Its our favorite quest to have immigration outside our country :raise:.

Bullcrap, Japanese men and women just dont want to get married and have children. The society is a mess of high rates of suicide, degeneracy and they work to death. As much as I admire Japan for their discipline, culture, history, respect and manners. They also have their fair share of problems.

The Japanese aren’t a perfect society. I think their form of westernization has caused most of the issues. This is generally a think happening in most of east Asia. There is a loss in the value of family. In places like South Korea people engage in eating shows as they have no bond with relatives to do those sorts of things. The people seem to have lost life in their job as much as it can be admired, they are going into a bad path.
