And in 1 month we have concluded military R&D partnerships with: 1) Australia, 2) Germany, 3) Britain, 4) France and 5) Israel.
It should have India as well.

When it comes to military industry, Japan is not versatile at all.
Japan's military capability restricted by its constitution is just an excuse.
Even without it, they still cannot match the military capability of the P5.

Plus Japan will now start exporting equipment as well. You have point. Prior to this July we had limited ourselves. But even with said limitation, Japan was capable of building one of the largest navies in the world. Now that we have removed article 9 from our limitation and R&D ventures, be expected to see new designs and new products coming out. En masse.
Thank You for sharing your view, my dear.
The Nimitz supercarrier is 100 times more powerful, and you will never own one like this.
There is no comparison here.

Brahmos is a very versatile platform. Its mini version is also coming up. If you buy Brahmos, your strategic profile will improve dramatically. Chinese navy will literally piss. We have other missiles like shaurya and K series. they are also very accurate and almost impossible to intercept.I agree. We are interested in the Brahmos.
IIRC one version of F-35 can be used on such helicoptor carriers as well. So it can still be useful for projecting power.Nimitz has catapult system so it can launch fighter jets. Izumo can only carry helicopters because it doesn't have the same sophisticated system. It will need a major redesign if it wants to be an aircarft carrier rather than a helicopter carrier.
Nonetheless, japan does not need an aircraft carrier because she does not need to project power all the way around the world. Her local air bases are enough.
A helicopter carrier has many advantages over a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.
Izumo cost 1.2 billion, while Ford class carrier cost 13 billion with an additional cost of a few hundred million each year to maintain the nuclear reactors. You can probably build 20 izumo for 1 ford.
A helicopter carrier is also good for disaster relief missions as it can carry a lot of troops and can takeoff helicopters for search and rescue missions.

Japan is keen for India to buy Shinmaywa seaplane and India to acquire it...and IIRC negotiations are on.

Hi, we had produced the F1, and yes you're right that Japan had for a long time done a joint research and R&D with the United States. I take this as a positive value because we are able to learn from American designs and practicalities. It can be used to improve on our own.
There is benefit with joint research and joint production. The benefits of this is shared cost , shared technologies, and greater confidence with related military markets.
Thanks
We'll see when F-35 comes out.
This is a light carrier, it has just been launched this year. It will soon launch F35Bs. It is not meant to be a super carrier, my dear child. We have no need to launch a super carrier, just yet. Japan does not consider itself a super power, we are just a major power. Only the United States has the capability to maintain a 10 CBG force simultaneously. Actually they are even building 2 Gerald Ford Class AC now.
PS. At least Japan was capable to build our own carrier. We are building our 2nd Izumo class. Unlike China, which had to buy an old soviet carrier, aka Liaoning. The emphasis i want to say here is that we have originality. Not bad for a "pacifist" nation. lol
