Sure politically some nationalist Viets will concur with you but in the daily life, it's just an opposite: Most Vietnamese live and doing business with us anywhere there is Chinatown either France, Canada or US, did they chose to live with Japanese community? I bet they don't even have any clue "where about" Japanese beside in Japan, and without saying border trade have brought our relation even closer. You Japaneses are only good with Manga and Cartoon culture but come to real life culture, you don't have much to sell.
