Japan agrees to employ trained Pakistani labourers

The US is seeing how little by little China is replacing its clout. US clout in Pakistan has been reduced to USAID LOL It won't be very long before China has replaced the US as its main trading partner. Just give it some more time.

People who have a pair of eyes understand why the US is behaving so erratically as it is. It is making an arse out of itself in the international arena. The reason is that the US is feeling the heat. These are just flames reaching the legs. Wait till the actual fire has reached the body.

Wrong again, USA will still be top export destination for next 2 decades. China will not open all it’s markets for Pakistani goods. If you haven’t learn how China work, you will never understand Chinese politics and economic polices. Chinese doesn’t give anything for free and they only do what’s best for their interest. Don’t think that China is doing a big favor to Pakistan, whatever they are doing is well calculated and they see some benefit in it.
As far as CPEC is concerned, We may not have to pay Chinese loans right way but we all know that previous government didn’t negotiate loan interest. Every project will cost more due to high interest in CPEC loans.
Also, Why China dragging their feet in moving their Industries to Pakistan?

Again you are making statements you have no Idea. Haven’t you see two different kind of statements from State department and deep state. USA always play good cop and bad cop. Nothing is new about that. It’s doesn’t mean we will stop trade with them.

Blah blah blah. China invested billions in Pakistan and is working on CPEC as we speak. The best your American buddies can achieve is some lousy presence through USAID where all the money ends up in the contractor's pockets LOL The contrast speaks for itself. Like I said, wait till China becomes top export destination for Pakistan. That will be the final nail for the US. The US can beg all day long. It won't have any meaningful impact. China speaks through actions. Not through words.

In the meanwhile, I am waiting for Japan to honor its commitment of taking in Pak workers. Wake me up when Japan has fulfilled its promise.

there is only one problem, Pakistan does not have trained labor.
If Japan is serious about it then they would have setup some training institutes. This is just an MOU nonsense which happens 3 times a day in our capital and our politicians dont understand what is a MOU so they come on TV announcing the big news.

As mentioned by another article, Japan is going to offer Japanese language learning course via e-learning to university and technical collage students.
it’s a good initiative by both governments but it’s a long term plan. It’s mainly design for University and technical college graduates. We won’t see any major development until probably 2021.

our labor is not trained to do high level job in japan, mostly people will do lower jobs like welders, plumbers etc but learning japenise language is another hurdle for people here

You think the Japs are going to hire workers from Pakistan when they have an army of highly skilled workers in neighboring countries? The Japs are playing games. They have announced and signed such insignificant deals before. It is all for optics and to disrupt things. The Japs cannot influence things in Pakistan. They try their best, but they are too insignificant in Pakistan to influence anything.

These are the same Japs that condemned and begged Pakistan a few days ago along with butt buddy India to reign in so-called terror groups operating from our soil.

Fvck the hypocritical Japs. We know that they are playing damage control games here.

India is a disloyal whore that feeds from every nook and corner. It profits from the misery of others. They can dance on my middle finger. Don't cite their example.

We are not going to imitate Rapistan. We are going to remain loyal to our allies. Even if they are few, but steadfast and committed. Your thinking is short term. It leads to more harm than good. Where was Japan when China came to Pakistan to invest billions whilst the rest of the world was accusing our nation of terrorism with lapdog USA and Rapistan India at the forefront? You guessed it right. They were absent and standing next to Rapistan and their master USA. The Japanese position hasn't changed today. What has changed is their sudden interest in disrupting China Pak relations. Just a few years ago they were laughing it off as a joke. Today they are pleading and begging to Pakistan and China to abandon their projects. We are not crazy.

LOL Suddenly today these hyenas have found interest in Pakistan. Don't make me laugh.
You are some crazy media cell guy who has not a basic understanding of things.
China didn't come in for charity . They send in their own labor, give only expensive and shady loans and bring every material even steel from China . It has done them more good and though infrastructure is good but it harmed Pakistan economy in the long run .
Chinese too need to change their attitude and do fdi, move their industry and no Chinese worker is allowed as we have surplus .
This doesn't make me hate China . Infact I love China . The relation ship is mutual . And they should change some things that went wrong .

LOL the day large amount of people settle in Japan we will talk. Now in the meanwhile control your excitement.

Japan belongs in the India/US camp.

The Japanese aren't hiring shit from Pakistan. If they do I will eat my words. Please remind me if and when Japan hires Pak workers. Be it programmers or oworkers. I will come to this very thread to admit that I was wrong.

Like I said, Japan is a US pet. One of a kind. They don't give a shit about Pakistan. They are only in this whole thing to break up and unsettle Pak China cooperation. The Japanese don't hide their viciousness against China and Pakistan. The Japs are not a friend of Pakistan. Hold your excitement.
Japan will hire people frpm anywhere as long as they speak Japanese

Our education infrastructure is far behind any 3rd world countries. We need 50 advance universities, and 500 technical colleges to convert 60% to 70% unskilled labor into skilled labor.
We can ask Japan to build satellite campuses of Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Tokyo and Kyoto University in Pakistan. These satellite compasses can offer Japanese language courses, art, Agricultural and Life Sciences degree at the beginning, later they can offer various degrees in IT, engineering and robotics.

Islamabad and Tokyo have signed a memorandum of cooperation, under which trained Pakistani labourers would be provided with employment opportunities in Japan.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfiqar Bukhari, Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsuda, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and other high-level officials.

“The newly signed memorandum will help the trained Pakistani labourers get employment in Japan,” said a statement issued by the ministry. “This is a major milestone that will further enhance bilateral ties between both countries.”

Addressing the ceremony, the Japanese envoy termed the agreement a “special occasion” for both nations, saying that it would play a key role in strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Japan.

“Japanese language and technical expertise are essential for employment in Japan; the country needs approximately 340,000 trained labourers,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Zulfiqar Bukhari highlighted that 65 per cent of the Pakistan population was below the age of 35, adding that employment opportunities were present in 14 sectors of Japan.

He urged the youth to especially focus on the information technology sector citing future needs.

On December 20, the Japanese ambassador had met Zulfiqar Bukhari for a pre-discussion on the agreement which is signed on Monday (today).

According to a statement issued by the ministry, the two sides had discussed a wide range of issues related to trade, tourism and manpower.

The envoy had informed that Japan would build a network, in collaboration with language universities in Pakistan, and carry out 3 to 6 months language proficiency course with e-learning facilities for far-flung areas so as to accommodate the maximum number of Pakistanis to work in Japan.

Acknowledging their diligence and social conduct, the ambassador showed his highest gratitude towards 25,000 Pakistanis residing and working in Japan.

Wonderful, we Pakistanis need to spread all over. This way one nation can't blackmail our diaspora and twist our arms.

We will do well to remember this ......"The world has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests”
But there is something in our culture that we attach ourselves fully only to one master at a time. Don't like to expand our circle of friends because it might offend some other master of our rulers.
