Sir, I've also learned recently that there will be two elements to the Stealth program in Pakistan. One would be getting the J-31 and Second, to build a platform internally called the JF-18, it would be a smaller single engine Stealth plane with different air-frame and tech, so like a mini J-31. While the J-31 will form the hi of the Stealth tier.
I, unfortunately, can't site the source as he is a friend of mine in the PhD program with a father in the PAF at a very high rank. So take this for what its worth. But when he tells me something, I've seen it happen and this very forum confirms he was right on previous stuff too. Thanks
I wouldn't have opened a thread based on a random video had a reputable source earlier not dropped a hint towards this,
In fact, I picked up that the J-31 was part of the contingent that arrived to participate in the Shaheen series of exercise earlier this year.
off course. v1 was just tech demonstrator...v2 is the real planeWhich one? 2.0 version?

he doesnt mean that it was sent for exercises rather for testing and evaluating itThat is practically impossible. The full variant of the FC-31 has not even been completed, and I doubt that the Chinese would use their V1.0 prototype (which was used to test WS-13E engines earlier this year) for an exercise.
