What's new

Israel wants to confiscate over 3,000 acres in West Bank ‘for military purposes’ .

How am I referring to them? You realize there are hundreds of thousands of Mujahideen in Syria who follow the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet(SAW) and they will be the ones who begin the resurgence for Islam. Syria will be the stage for it. If you think Iran or Hezbollah are going to lead that then you're lost. Fighting for Islam isn't fighting for Iranian interests.

Nusra and ISIS are Salafis, Hamas clashed with them thus they're your enemy.

The so called moderate Islamists ( Ahrar al Sham etc ) are only focused on Syria, they recognize Syrian borders so they might not like Jews and Shias but they won't fight them.

The line between ISIS and the FSA is not that great. Many radical jihadists like to join the FSA because if they pretend to be "moderate" they can get foreign assistance.
"Oh yes Uncle Sam I really love you can I have a missile please?"

I don't recognize your terms. Keep them to yourself, there is nothing 'radical' about the Rebels in Syria. They follow God and they support justice. One of the few remaining hundred thousand people on this earth who support justice. We don't want no weapons from the West either, that is a small splinter FSA group that asks for assistance.

The extremely odd thing is the fact that Saudi Arabia and the UAE support the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria while opposing it everywhere else.

I didn't mention ISIS, don't derail the thread. I am more knowledgeable than you on Syria. And I don't care about your views.

I have a dream....that one day Muslims will forget their petty differences, tribal feuds and nationalistic ambitions. Borders will be erased overnight and Israel will be faced not by a Palestine consisting of West Bank and Gazza but a Palestine consisting of Islamabad, Riyadh, Ankara, Amman, Tehran, Cairo and Jakarta. I have a dream.....

That's a pipe dream because most of the Arabs now support Israel and do nothing for Islam. Look at Saudi Arabia for example. Most of the Muslim leaders betrayed Islam. And that's why Islam is in the pathetic state that it is in today

That is true and those that don't support prefer their national interests over Islamic ones. So it is bad all across.

Israel has plans to take 3,176 acres of Palestinian land around a West Bank village near central Jerusalem, according to residents of the village who were handed orders signed by the head of IDF Central Command, Ma’an news agency reports.

Beit Iksa residents told Ma’an that the orders, signed by the Israeli military commander in the West Bank, Nitzan Alon, were distributed Saturday morning by the soldiers. They gave residents of the village until 2017 to evacuate the land.
Ma’an also published maps of the areas to be expropriated.

Soldiers who are deployed at the military checkpoint at the entrance to the village have also told the residents that a liaison officer would be arriving in the village on Monday to clarify the order.

Soldiers said that the decision had been made in 2012 to seize land for “security needs in this village adjacent to the green line,” Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. They said the new order was intended to reinforce a previously taken decision.

The IDF spokesman’s office refused to comment on the report to the Times of Israel.

The village is an area of great sensitivity because it is situated less than a kilometer from Route 1 – the main road from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv – and it is surrounded on all sides by the Israeli West Bank barrier. Israeli forces closed off roads leading to the village in 2006.

Ma’an reports that 93 percent of the village is already under full Israeli military control, and the lands are de-facto already confiscated. Villagers cannot go to Jerusalem without permits, and Palestinians from other areas cannot access the village.

The mayor of Beit Iksa, Saʻadeh al-Khatib, told WAFA that human rights organizations had to step in to help rescind the order as it would prevent scores of farmers from accessing their own lands.

The occupied territories of the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip have been seeking full statehood and independence from Israel for decades now, with thousands of people having perished in one of the most prolonged and bitter confrontations in modern history.

The Palestinians have lobbied for full recognition as a sovereign state from the UN and the international community. Palestine has already been granted non-member, observer-state status in the UN and it continues to push for recognition while Israel continues to proceed with plans to build thousands of new settler homes in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

More than 500,000 Israelis live in settlements in the West Bank and around east Jerusalem, built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

Israel approved “an unprecedented” number of 13,851 new settler homes during nine-months of peace talks with Palestine, an Israeli NGO revealed in April.

The plans were all in West Bank areas, with 4,793 units approved for the construction in “isolated”settlements and 1,768 units closer to the Green Line, which separates Israeli territory and the occupied West Bank.

Goddammit Israel. Why u do dis?

Jokes aside, I think the rest of the world (outside of the US) is getting fed up with Israel always playing the victim card. It's clear through recent opinion polls conducted with a host of different nations that Israel's propaganda is no longer working...except in the US. Unfortunately for Palestinians, that's the one place where it really matters.

Palestinian population is one of the fastest growing in the world. Their life standards are higher than most of the third world countries.

And the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay (some of whom are illegally detained) have gained weight because they're so well fed. That must mean what the US is doing is OK and the prisoners are happy with being tortured, etc.

FYI, as a neutral observer, I understand where Israel is coming from as well. Any nation having to continuously suffer terror attacks has a right to defend itself but you do yourself and Israel's image no favors when you post things that are obviously condescending and attempt to divert attention away from legitimate Palestinian grievances.

By the way, who's the girl in your avatar? She looks like a younger version of this girl who I used to work with. :cheesy:

What’s your opinion on the confiscation of over 3000 acres of land in the West Bank?

I never even mentioned Iran...I am not saying that every single fighter in Syria is bad but you have to face the fact that whatever is going on in Syria is not jihad....it's civil war. Granted that Bashar al Asad is a tyrant, but it does not justify the methods used by the "mujahideen". And da'ish is just an evolution of FSA, which was itself set up by Western interests. Why are you so concerned about where the resurgence of Islam is going to begin. It does not matter.

So what are you saying? Syria was an uprising, not a civil war. It has now morphed into a civil/sectarian war. And Syria will set the stage for the resurgence of Islam to begin. Obviously this war is very messy and unfortunate. And that is necessary since Muslims have been denied their rights by their governments. Don't confuse Muslims by their name. Whatever interests we have, it's a duty to fight for them in the name of Islam out of ones heart. And we have not had that for a long time. It is making a comeback now, and we are going to be fighting out of our heart and that is how we will succeed. I am concerned, who wouldn't be? Why wouldn't you want truth and justice to prevail? Why wouldn't you want to end the hegemony on the Middle Eastern people? Do you realize the suffering they went through over the decades since Western colonalism?
