Israel threatens to attack Iran bases in Iraq

Israel’s military intelligence has said that “Iran may use Iraq as a launching pad to target Israel, which would call for a response from Tel Aviv”.

“Israeli airstrikes against Iranian forces in Syria may prompt Iranians to build military and missile facilities,” it said in its annual assessment, adding: “This situation will require Israel to intensify its intelligence efforts in Iraq, with the possibility of taking operational steps there if Iranian proliferation becomes a military threat”.

Israel’s Makan website published a summary of a report, which said that Iran was withdrawing its forces in Syria from areas near the occupied Golan Heights, which lies between Syria and Israel.

According to the assessment, Iran may take “provocative steps” in the nuclear field in an attempt to force the international community to lift economic sanctions imposed on it.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and army commanders have recently confirmed that many Iranian military targets were bombed in Syria, pledging to continue airstrikes against Iranian-backed forces in the country.

Hmm so they cant attack inside syria anymore thanks to russian surface to air missiles and air defence systems modernized. So they want to pound iraqi territory now?

Time for iraq to purchase s400 now??

I wish arabs do what pakistaniz do, instead of SAM sites and s300 etc use state of the art Aircraft and well trained pilots with tactics. So that no one can dare intrude ur airspace.

Russians indians arabs they prefer Sams and systrms likee s300/400...

Hmm i guess i missed that. Too bad syria is too weak. They killed eachother and fought among eachother divided pathetic now even israel can come in and hit them when they want.

Sadly our shorter range zelzal and fajr missile are far less accurate .so you choose which is cheaper and more effective. one Dezful or Hoveizeh or 20 - 25 maybe more Zelzal ?
