Israel says it will join 2020 World Expo in Dubai

Associated Press

April 25

JERUSALEM — Israel’s Foreign Ministry says Israel will participate in next year’s World Expo hosted by the United Arab Emirates, in another sign of warming relations with Gulf Arab states.

The ministry said Thursday it “looks forward to sharing our innovative spirit and advances” in such fields as water, information and medical technologies at the 2020 Expo in Dubai.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Israel’s participation as another expression of the state’s “rising status in the world and the region.”

Despite their lack of diplomatic relations, Sunni Arab states, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have quietly inched closer to Israel, seeing it as a key ally in rolling back their common adversary, Iran.

Over the past months, Israel’s backdoor relations with former Arab foes have increasingly entered public view.

Wonder what Saudi Arabia's take is on this. And that if the reason that Pakistan refuses to accept Israel is the Arab countries or what, because when Arab countries do accept the Israel as a state, what we do next won't have any relevancy.

Wonder when these arabs will wake up and realize that they are paving the way for their own destruction ...

No, they are bringing investment , improving trade & economy. Saudi Arabia is Also going towards Modernization , they allowed first cinema, music concert, Allowed woman to drive, Also they are investing heavily in tourism sector, making beautiful beaches, spending billions of dollars. Saudi Arabia in 2030 will look different & as proper developed country. Human rights index will change.
Inclusion of Israel in dubai expo will also benefit Israel and it will boost relation with Muslim countries .

We are not even relevant now. You think the world gives a flying fcuk that Pakistan, a country whose passport has lower value then tiolet paper hurts Israel?

It only hurts us.

Ps. UAE is actually being smart about this and clearly shows they have good leadership looking out for UAE and not some opaque, obscure wider brotherhood.

That is enough!
No, problem.

I have seen about 3 threads you have referred to him in such a way...Please respect both his and your title!
You do know he began this name calling? Please refer to his fire with calling me "Reza Mir". Yes, then I decided to finish it for him. Being a senior member there was no reason for ad hominem. When he could not play the ball he -

  • called me Reza Mir
  • made sarcastic comment about 'bypass operation' ~ this being a low down scummy referance to some cardiac issues I had in the past.
Tell me, is this behaviour becoming of a senior member?
