Israel authorizes interception of second Gaza flotilla

Again, being delusional is your right, but there are countless videos that show these "activists" coming with clubs and steel on the Israeli soldiers that were boarding the ship. How soldiers were thrown over and how one was stabbed mercilessly. Now there are reports that these new "activists" are going to attempt to kill any soldier that tries board the ship by showering them with chemical substances. I honestly hope that if they attempt this, they sink the ship.

i know they weilded out steel rods from the grill of the ship when they saw the soldiers with m16s boarding the foltilla, steel rod is even a weapon, infront of m16s??, come on man, israelis said they found weapons on flotilla and dont tell me they meant knives and shitt, they are very common house hold tools

steel rod is even a weapon, infront of m16s??, come on man

The soldiers did only have paint bullets and a personal rifle for self defence.

What do you want? this hooligans and terrorists attacked the soldiers, so the soldiers had to defend themselves. In the other six ships no force was used by the activists and no one got hurt.

Metal rods and household knives kill just as easily as bullets, it only takes one correct swing/stab.

A second flotilla of ships is going to the Gaza Strip. Or should I say, trying to go there since it will be stopped if necessary by a legal Israeli blockade. In the first flotilla, the Islamist holy warriors organized by the Turkish government-backed IHH group all gathered on one ship. The other boats, the ships of (political) tools cooperated, no one was injured, and they were towed into port. The ship of jihadists attacked Israeli soldiers, kidnapped and beat up a couple of them, and had the “victory” of getting nine martyrs out of it. Let us never forget that when the Israeli Defense Forces made public a video showing these facts the New York Times blog in a particularly shameful moment dismissed it alleging that the soldiers might have been shooting down unarmed civilians just standing around the deck before the film began. (Thus posing the twenty-first century journalistic question: Who are you going to believe, the facts and your eyes or your predetermined ideological bias?)

This time there’s also a different strategy for the flotilla itself. The would-be terrorists have dispersed themselves among the naive “peace activists” who, whether wittingly or not, are helping a revolutionary Islamist terrorist group intent on committing genocide on Jews, expelling Christians, repressing women, and murdering gay people in their drive to impose a totalitarian state. Thus, there are two possibilities: the “peace activists” will pretend they are civil rights’ demonstrators and be nonviolent or the Islamists will try to provoke violence so as to reap good publicity. According to reliable information, some of the Islamist participants have spoken in conversation of their desire to kill Israeli soldiers. Some are also equipped with sulfuric acid to throw at Israel soldiers. We will see which of these scenarios take place.

A number of the organizing groups are fronts for Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood, raising money and political support for these organizations and often controlled by them. In other words, revolutionary Islamists are using Western pacifists and leftists to achieve their own ends. It isn’t clear whether Lenin invented the phrase “useful idiots” but it is useful nonetheless.

Here are some resources on the flotilla, its background, and participants:

Cmon shlomo...really??? propaganda at its finest. If propaganda had a name it would be solomn2 .

You know a dildo can be a lethal weapon if used correctly. Oooooh look they came with knives and rods...they have weapons they were trying to get knives to the gazans.

so OMG those ships had kitchens.???those bastards.
And did they throw away a soldier from the boat??? OMG they are violent. yeah when someone comes in "INTERNATIONAL" waters and try to board a ship doesn't matter if he is state army or a pirate that does not matter he has no right of any violent and trespassing action against a ship that is international law.And by them it was self-defense.

I love how humanitarian workers are labeled as terrorists now. just because israel don't like them they even labeled the IHH as a terrorist group because they care about the palastenians?? what next doctors going to gaza to heal people there are terrorists too? what about a truck driver with a shipment of food?? oh wait right non of those are allowed into Gaza in the first place.

i propose if feasible, sent turkish navy along with flotilla, or keep some guns, m16s or kalshnikovs because israel has given them free will to attack illegally

If that is what this is really all about( which we have known all along), then calling it a humanitarian aid is a lie. It was never meant for humanitarian purposes. The parties involved in this farce could not care any lesser about the plight of the Palestinians they just want to settle scores with Israel. The Palestinians are just an excuse.

They wont have weapons at all and yes this is to break the illegal siege on Gaza and they wont go through ashdod so 3/4 of the shipment be confiscated they want to give it to their hands.

And God knows I hope the Israelis use every weapon in its inventory to kill everyone on those ships but i know they wont because they will be some media coverage on the matter. Hell they even threatened the media that any media that covers this matter will not be granted access into Israel hahaha gotta love how running scared they are.

First, the blockade is legal and protected by international law - Israel is in a state of conflict with Hamas and has the right to impose a blockade.

Second, Israel delivered all the shipment of last year flotilla to Gaza, and nobody used it over there - guess their condition is quite well and they do not need humanitarian aid.

But this discussion is nonsense.

You and many in the Muslin world do not care about Gaza or human rights. You want to see the fall of Israel as you rule out any prospect for its existence. And for this objective every mean is legitimate: from flotillas to terror and missile attacks. Whatever weakens Israel you and your kind will support it no matter what are the circumstances.

So just admit it and drop all this pretending.

if people could stop dreaming about the turkish navy joining the flotilla. keep dreaming! :D

this is funny, you turks are being scared of israel, why are you sending flotillas if you cant protect???, dont take its credit, simple, you gain support of arabs by sending flotillas which you cant protect

on other hand making uselesss claims of attacking weak syria which is none of your business in the first place, neither syria is being a threat to turkey

Trust me buddy, if a man tried to lunge me with a dildo, i`d make him choke on it. As well should any soldier who believes his life is threatened.
What does it take to take a man`s life? A quick snap of the neck, that`s it. Life is precious and without a doubt not worth taking a chance with a psychopath.

Gaza activists blinded by faith

Published on : 28 June 2011 - 12:10pm | By Eric Beauchemin (Photo: RNW/EB) On Tuesday a small group of Dutch activists is expected to set sail from Greece to the Gaza Strip. They are part of a flotilla hoping to bring humanitarian aid to the impoverished Palestinian territory, which has been under an Israeli blockade since 2006.

RNW's Eric Beauchemin spent the past week observing the preparations for the journey.

I had been planning for the past three months to sail with the activists and report on their journey. But over the past week that I spent in Greece, I lost all faith in the Dutch Gaza Foundation which is responsible for the Dutch boat.

Things started going wrong from the very beginning. During our first meeting on the Greek island of Corfu, we received the usual latest updates, and then one of the organisers informed us that one of the Dutch journalists had leaked secret information to the most popular Dutch daily about the mission. She was furious: No one is as open as the Free Gaza Foundation, she proclaimed indignantly.

But I have worked as a journalist for the past 25 years, and never have I experienced such a closed organisation.

Risky trip
After this welcoming message, she explained the ground rules to us. There were many, many non-negotiables. "If you don't accept this, you can't come along." I wanted to make a video report, filming the two days of obligatory training sessions to convey a sense of how the activists were preparing for the mission. But the organisation declared numerous sessions off-limits. I and the other Dutch journalists present explained that we needed this footage to do our work. But she wouldn't have it. "I have worked with CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC, and no one has been as demanding as you Dutch reporters."

Eventually there was a hand count and the activists voted us out of those sessions. We journalists all felt that a schism had been created for no reason. We also began to lose faith and trust in the organisation, both essential ingredients when undertaking such a risky trip. During the last Freedom Flotilla last year, nine Turks were killed when the Israeli navy boarded their vessel and fighting broke out.

Motivation
I expressed an interest in joining the mission earlier this year when I heard that the Dutch were going to send their own vessel to Gaza for the first time. There would be over 30 participants, including prominent members of Dutch society. An Italian delegation with 20 people would also take part.

I then attended meeting after meeting in various cities in Holland. I had to be screened because - I was told - there were so many people wanting to travel to Gaza. When the organisers called to say I had passed the screening and been chosen as one of the select group of people who would set sail, I felt obliged to express my joy.

Deception
Now, back in the Netherlands, over three months later, I feel deceived. There never was a "select group". There were no prominent Dutch figures interested in joining Freedom Flotilla 2. Instead of 32 people from the Netherlands, the organisation managed to assemble just eight activists and four journalists. Yesterday [Monday], two more journalists decided to jump ship before the boat even left the port of Corfu.

Since day one, journalists, including myself, asked questions about the Dutch organisation and the boat, for example about the funding. Even simple questions about the ship's power supply for me to hook up my satellite transmitter. The answer was consistently: "I'll get back to you about that" or "we don't know". I'm still waiting for answers.

Ingenuity
I have been to Gaza on two occasions and have seen with my own eyes why it's called an open air prison. No one in, no one out, literally. One afternoon, I went to the beach there with a Palestinian whose tailoring business had been destroyed by the blockade. He told me he went there every day. And I asked him if that was because the sea represented freedom. He laughed at me and pointed to the Israeli navy vessels on the horizon.

In the past week, the activists' idealism has surprised and amazed me. In this day and age, I find it remarkable that Dutch people are willing to lay their lives on the line for a cause. Whether this is the proper way to achieve their goal is another matter. But even more disturbing is their naiveté.

Good luck
Yesterday morning I had a final meeting with the participants. I told the activists that given everything that had happened, they shouldn’t trust the organisation leading this mission. But all of them insisted the cause is too important to abandon. "We are going to break the siege and help the people of Gaza."

Good luck and bon voyage.
