I wanted death penalty, because she is a heavily pregnant woman. But more to the point that the man being a civilian unilaterally launched an aggressive violent attack. After the Westphalian Nation State concept became prevalent, only the State has a monopoly on violence and not civilians. Civilians can only resort to violence in a purely defensive manner. Clearly this idiot didnot learn that lesson, so death penalty would suffice for him and for any white nationalist or religious fundamentalist of any kind in Western secular democracies.

I think we are going around in circles..I have already justified why I felt that this man earned the death penalty..Okay death penalty might be too harsh,but some sort of stringent punishment when one goes over this issue. The issue is civilians donot have a right to violent settlement of any dispute under the modern Westphalian Nation State concept. I am not going in circles. Maybe there is a comprehension issue because you still don't understand what I am trying to explain to you. I have been very linear with my thought process and content. Let me make it as clear as I can because maybe you are a genuine person and truly have a mental blockage.

You implied that this person deserves the death penalty because he committed an act of violence against another person. As per your claim, the brutality of the act deserves the death penalty.

So why not the same for Modi and others in India who are responsible for worse acts of violence?
