According to Al Arabiya News the head of ISIS has been critically wounded by a US led air strike near the town of al-Qaim in Western Iraq.

I wonder if he dies will the "Islamic State" survive ? Or will it disintegrate like the Third Reich without the fuhrer ? Considering the nature of groups such as ISIS I am inclined to think that it will survive and adapt, but on the other hand this was probably the first of such groups to have a globally proclaimed "khalifa" so it might no survive the shock.
