It is terrible for them, but partly a result of their own naïveté.
After partition, Indian Muslims could have reached out to Pakistanis and even Kashmiris to form some kind of alliance to prevent wars in the region, resolve Kashmir dispute, and hold Hindu extremist groups in check.
They did none of that, but instead surpassed Hindus in hatred against Pakistan and Kashmiris to prove they are loyal in India.
They went all around the world to make takfir on Pakistanis/Kashmiris and promoted hate against us in Islamic organizations in the diaspora.
They deserve every bit of what they are getting.
Your post is self contradictory.
If Muslims of India did all that you say they did, then they clearly feel they are part of the Indian society and Nation and is doing what ever is best to keep themselves safe and prosperous in this Nation.
Quite a conundrum.
