2nd) the so called PaK militants are Sunni Baluch from Sistan Baluchistan who have been fighting Iran since long ..
3rd) FC troops were chasing militants when they came under attack from iranian conscripts Aswell as the militants... Which resulted in the martyrdom of a soldier and 3 injured ..
4th) It was the Frontier Corps Baluchistan not the Pakistan Army .. but it is armed with enough fire power (heavy weapons and tanks)..
5th) Unlike conscripts across the border we responded professionally ... And last IG FC has also warned Iran tht any such action will not be tolerated and next time they would face music...

Fact of the matter is that we hardly have any military presence at the border with Iran, all we have there is FC which is basically somewhere between local police and Rangers. It is so because we do not consider Iran to be a threat. Similarly, Iran also has a very thin presence of security, which they have beefed up in the last few years because of terrorist attacks.

However, if they believe that there are militants hiding inside Pakistan then perhaps they can identify the routes that these terrorists use and secure their side of the border to ensure that no unwanted border crossing event occurs. Furthermore, they may share certain encrypted radio frequencies with FC for direct communication when they have solid information of terrorist movement from Iran into Pakistan.

In any case, if Iran has a problem with us, we need to find out what it is. Unlike India, that can take on both Pakistan and China simultaneously and defeat them, we cannot take on multiple fronts especially when it is something so minute.
