A good plan..Here in Canada one of the major issues with EV is lack of charging stations in the long trips for people who have purchased 100% EV cars with no onboard charge capability ..Vast countries (like Iran) need to pay special attention to this rather simple issue that 100% EV car owners do not dare to go far if there are no charge stations onroute.

MAPNA chargers look good.... I wonder if @Hack-Hook can tell us who may buy these imported chinese EV cars in Iran..is it middle class or just rich who want to add EV to their collection.!!:undecided:

Price of these ev cars are unknown.... but they certainly will not be for the ordinery people but for heighr income folks...

The car industry is in the hands of certain connected people, who make crazy profits from importing chinese cars at the expence of Iranians...

Yes,setting up the charging infrastructure is going to be the critical part of this.
I remember watching a vid of a fellow in the states who bought a very fancy rivian e-truck,however getting it back home turned into a real adventure [ironically the vehicle is called an electric adventure vehicle] as there were a lot of places without chargers, and in addition there wasnt even any standardization when it came to the charging stations, some were free, some you had to pay for, some were in well lit public places while others were in less safe places, some were fast while others were slow.It was insane.
What was even worse was that when he did eventually get it back home, his vehicle suffered what looked to be a relatively minor fender bender, unfortunately the cool futuristic construction of it meant that not only was the repair very difficult,it was also insanely expensive.

I suspect tho that e-vehicles in iran will likely face the same problems that lpg/cng vehicles have,ie chronic under-utilization,and so long as the price of petrol is subsidized then I dont see this changing very much.
