The Abrams would be one of the most combat tested tanks on earth. The Al-Khalid however has only gone up against some stupid jihaidsts with AKs And RPGs, maybe not even that. However them buying the al Khalid would be beneficial to both countries.

Iran has this policy of self-reliance and it follows it very rigidly. I don't think they'd go for it unless and until you offer them to 'Make in Iran' or something.
