A war with Iran at this point is not in America's interests.....and hence is not being pursued. Trust me, you underestimate the Americans at your own peril.

America has found the golden trigger against Iran: Sanctions. Everyone knows how sanctions are hurting Iran severely....and hence Iran is trying to get world's attention. America damaged Iran a lot by not responding, hence limiting Iran's options even further to get out of these devastating sanctions.

He really thought if he pulled out of the deal, destroyed Iran's economy, that it's leaders would be crawling to beg for talks. He didn't expect for Iran to hold on and refuse to talk to him, meanwhile even provoking him by shooting down a drone. Trump is in a tough spot, that's why he's walking back the tough talk and giving Iran many outs.

The reality is that the US can destroy Iran. But it will not be without cost. The US will also suffer a great deal of damage. This isn't like attacking rag tag rebel fighters or even Saddam's Iraq. This is fighting an organized state with significant firepower.

If Trump gets us into a war with Iran, it will be the end of him. It will be the end of the American empire, and he knows it. That is why he's eating some humble pie and trying to find a way out right now. However, do not doubt that many in the US government and thirsting for this war. They will do everything they can to provoke some kind of war. Do not doubt that Netanyahu wants the US to fight a war. He knows time is running out. I agree. This is what happens when you get a reality TV star to become President. He has a huge ego and his whole image is all about being TOUGH. Yet Iran is the first thing he's done where he realizes that by being tough, it will bring immediate consequences that can blow up in his face. With everything else, the consequences were not so immediate, **** up NATO and it will take decades to unravel, trade war with China it will take at least a year before the impact will be felt in the economy, threatening Mexico nothing is going to happen.

But with Iran, he knows that if he attacked them, it will be a major war and it will blow up in his face immediately. So he's backing out. He's actually pretty cowardly despite his tough guy act, he skipped out on the military draft and he's always weaseling out of situations that he created.
