I knew you weren't a Muslim, not sure why it matters? Westerners in general think shias are some weird persecuted minority & by default generally assign the terrorist label to non-shia groups. The reason Westerners like to support Shia is because they're fringe. Sunni is the mainstream Islam. They support a fringe sect and they back Iran because they want to undermine Islam.

The people who've been duped who think Shias get some kind of points on an imaginary oppression olympics scale- they like to ignore that Houthis started the war in Yemen. In actual fact, it's Iran and Iranian-backed Shias who are the aggressors but when Sunnis defend themselves against Iranian aggression they're "engaging in sectarianism".

There's the whole Cultural Marxist aspect where "Sunni" is like "cis white male". The Sunnis would have to be female, transgender, disabled or something like that for the white people to support them. Its all part of undermining Islam. Saudi is a corrupt state but its scholars promote orthodox Islam. You could point out the corruption in either Iran or Saudi but you hear anti-Saudi stuff all day because the real aim is to eliminate orthodox Islam. It's similar to why the British supported the Qadianis.

It's very good, he goes into the basic living conditions in his city, what it was like when ISIS came, what it is like now shia militias rule, the crimes of both groups, Iranian involvement, Iranians moving into Iraq (literally moving in), his experience with police etc...
