Instead of Pakistan, India feels diplomatically isolated ...

I must say i am rather surprised by the honesty of the author in question. Print media was always the more saner medium in India, but lately authors on this medium seemed to have gone down the same track as their colleagues on TV i.e. a track of lunacy . Refreshing to see rational thinking on display even if i naturally do not agree with the author on all points.

The article makes some really good sense.

NO denial about it. Even the most hardened nationalist here with a bit of common sense and basic understanding of realpolitik will agree to this.

Isolation is a fictitious concept something that bureaucrats don't understand to a great extent. It is not that a country engage with you lot, hates us. It is simply that they don't see you as an enemy.

Just as we don't see Iran and Israel as bad to each other as we have cordial ties with both. So while Iran might find Israelis are terrorists and Israelis find Iranians as terrorists, our engagement with either side remains only from our perspective without hating either one of them.

Well thought-out article.

Pakistan is not going to be isolated just because we want them to be. Nope.

As much as I am angry at the loss of our troops, the state of Pakistan is very much here to stay and very much likely to continue engaging with the rest of the world.

Since India is a neutral country, not part of any military bloc in any manner, we have to manage our affairs in a better man, like mature realistic people. And there are plenty of models to be adopted which can be learnt from the security forces in our neighbouring and extended neighbourhood countries.

Unfortunately, we Indians have a problem of worshipping the process rather than admiring any positive outcome. We are process oriented people and not outcome oriented.

As US fades into oblivion, Russia looks out for itself and so does China, the game has to change.

And both foreign relations and terrorism, need a new solution.

Ha ha. To be honest, 100 years ago China had this too.
You said it. 100 years ago. They still have them in 2019.

They are just poor laborers trying to get by.
I am not making fun or belittling the rickshaw pullers but the society and gizillion dolla economy that forces these poor, unfortunate people to fill in as draught animals.

Well few mega super power did stood with India

1. Iran
2. Bangladesh

You can't just ignore these hyper super powers

Iran has to, only India is buying their oil but to keep Iran happy India losses US support, beside US learned this cat has no claws no point feeding her

Countries might feel sorry the first time they hear a fake cry, but after 10th time ..... I dont think so, more India cries on fake allegations that does not make sense at all, more sympathy lost if there was any. Pakistan did a good job of showing Indian crimes in Kashmir.

India has this weird vedic supapowa perception they call us PORKI you isolated country lets pooja with everyone while everyone just s..ts on them I guess everyone is tired of India and its pooja dances in 2019
