Yes but in those movements, people are being killed by their own govt./army.

Nobody is saying do agitation and pull the govt. and system, but just let the ruling people know that you are not happy with their governance, you ppl deserve more..........thru non violent hunger strikes and protests without harming the public properties. This will make the ruling ppl understand that you guys wont tolerate anything throw at you.

True about letting ruling people know that public is unhappy BUT that will be convyed through ballet in comming elections.

No need for emotional steps and disturb public order. We had done that during Lawyers' movment

I don't think there is any requirement to copy Anna Hazare.

If the Pakistanis have no issues on corruption, then one should let them be the ones to decide.

It is after all, their way of life that affects them.

In India, where the ballot has been used without interruptions through its independent history, it appears that it has not been able to curb corruption. Hence, let us see is this movement of Anna Hazare can do it.

It is a better choice than revolution or any other non democratic means.

Votes would only change the regime of government. One theif would be replaced by another.. There wont be any change in reality on the graound. Instead of this the change in public mood would bring a revolution. After all these politicians are amongst the common man..

How much crackdown they can do. I determind civilized sociey with good intentions can never be wiped out.. its just the pillars of that sociey which gets replaced...
