There's actually a decent market in India for this. Because Indian states of now raising state commando, swat type groups. And many a currently armed with AKs. Even some regulars are getting AKs and INSAS.

They should have copied the AK 12. This copy is not modernized. Ambidextrous. controls, a flat top pica-tinny rail system, and rear sights vs. forward sights would be much better. A collapsible stock would be nice too.

This Ak7 variant is still a better offering, compared to what OFB has done in the past. Check out rest of OFB work and point out one good product.

Steyr Mannlicher only used concept of Rotating Bolt for locking unlocking of bridge block. AK inventor carved it by making it automatic and best rifle ever made in weapon history till date.

By the way I was member of user trial team of this Ghatak Rifle from CRPF CoBRA team. Because incidently it was tested at my BN Hq firing range.Though not board member just participating member.

In all this gun is awesome, and was much needed by COBRA, CRPF, and RR for COIN ops.

So,now that we do know thatthe MHA has placed a firm order of 50,000 units with the OFB,do you have any idea whom (i mean which C.A.P.F.)they will be allocated to??
