The impact of BJP-RSS coupling, inevitably, impacts the Indian policies. The refusal to invite Pakistan for IONS’ session is one of the signs of this infamous coupling.
While we understand that RSS has been having Pakistani political experts in a round-up, India still maintains a diplomatic mission and allows interaction between ministers and diplomats at different levels (even if they are lower). So your theory of RSS wanting to severe ties is out of the window. They are here to stay and as per the wishes of the public. To us, they have shown their mettle and have greatly worked towards improving India's safety and security record compared to your darlings, the left-centre liberandoos (courtesy @ranjeet here
).The simple reason for not calling you is your inability to stop cross border attacks against our civilians and soldiers inside of our towns and cities as well as killing our folks across the border, triggering a never-ending killathon on both sides, with no definite objective or achievement.
We have seen how our bickering on international forums has ruined constructive bodies which could otherwise have yielded benefits for all the people in the region. SAARC has been the biggest casualty. A body which could have become the CIS of the Subcontinent or the mini-SCO could not be moved forward at all.
Every country involved had issues to discuss but no one else would get the limelight since it would always be centred around Pakistan - India bickering.
This is exactly why SAARC was flagged off and replaced with BIMSTEC at an economic level. So that every other initiative can be started parallely with more meaning.
IONS is a forum focused on some very pertinent points facing the countries in the IOR region:
- Monitoring of trade routes passing through IOR
- Ensuring coastal safety and security of the states in IOR
- Monitoring and countering piracy and illegal maritime activities across the region
- Monitoring any form of terrorism that can be perpetrated through the seas to all the major population centres in each of the countries involved
- Expanding communication and coordination between the different countries.
