I dont get all these praise on tejas when it was openly shown it is just an assembly of imported components and all important stuff are not even made in india..

this is just embarassing for indian military industry where they took decades just to assemble a hodge podge of system into a klutz jet ..

india should just take Dassault offer and buy the Mirage 2000 assembly line so india at very least can manufacture a real jet fighter

It's ok. The internet is FULL of people with very little knowledge but a LOT of opinions.

Good thing is their opinion is of no importance whatsoever. This particular fellow can spout whatever nonsense he wants and it won't be making even the teeny weeniest bit of difference to the Tejas program, it's follow on variants or to Indian aerospace in general.

Does IAF think Tejas is worthwhile considering the numbers flying are minimal and the IAF has been opting for foreign jets?

Both have different roles.

Why you went for J10C (with Chinese loans- as we know about this by leaked documents) if you already FC1/JF17 in big numbers?

PAF replacing older generation aircrafts (A-5s, F-7s, Mirages) with JF-17s.

J-10s will augment the F-16s on its front line fleet.

The Tejas could very well replace the aging Mig21s, Mirage 2Ks and possibly the Mig29s. Why is that not happening?
