1. It was wrong to post a video a person who claimed she was "almost assaulted" when the evidence shows that she made no attempt to get help or call the police.

She even refuses to name the hotel where such "attempt" was made.

Does that sound genuine ?

This thought is so churlish, what makes you think that Pakistani posters here will and should post positive videos about India...here on PDF...on a Pakistani forum, it is the job of the Indian members here to post videos/articles which portray India in a good light.

So Pakistani posters presenting videos about India which shows the negative reality of India and not the positive reality of India is not hypocrisy, simply put it is not the job of members from Pakistan...but of Indian members.

Also the traveler 'Jordan' video where she talked about the horrors in India was a real story and not a fake one...and also dozens of such related stories about rapes/stalking/groping in India...

i did not say you should or should not post anything. I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy of some members(not you in particular). you are welcome to point out my hypocrisy if you want. and about negative stories about india... you should know that for every bad experience about india, there are a hundred good ones. As for pakistan, the bad negative stories far outweighs the good. Simply do a youtube search. There are literally hundreds of videos of foreign travel vloggers saying good things about india whereas there are only a handful of foreign tourists who go to pakistan. You cannot deny this basic fact.

Anyway, I personally would not post a negative thread onl about pakistan. I prefer to discuss topics that relate to india, unlike some members who seem to validate their existance posting negative news about india.

thats beside the point. the point was that pakistanis were quick to post tha girls video about her near assault, but completely ignored her when she was praising india.

I hope i was also clear that there is no exvuse for what she went through. su behaior is wrong no matter who does it, or whether it occurs in india or china.

I didn't give any comments, I just found that is the same girl.

One thing that bothers me as a member here is that many people tend to cherry pick law and order issues and discuss them to death by ruining reams of bandwidth of PDF.

- Does US, UK, Europe etc not have rapes? They do, and higher than many Asian countries for their population base

- Does the developed world not have poverty? Yes they do. And many are hopelessly vulnerable due to excessive capitalism.

- Are there no looters and thieves in developed world? Just try walking alone in an alleyway in New York, London city, Amsterdam or Frankfurt; you'll basically invite the muggers out.

- Does discriminating crime not occur in any other country? Racial, religious, linguisitic... whatever. It does and surprisingly so in more uniform countries than the diversity that India or other Asian countries have.

Does this even freaking merit a discussion?

I don't think it would ever make sense because then all countries except for Switzerland, Nordic countries, Japan and Singapore would look bad.

NOTE: I liked the beautiful depiction of Jodhpur, which is one of the finest cities in terms of tourism delight. It is safe, has good food, has a rustic charm and people are very simple and helpful. Had amazing chilli pakoras there fore breakfast some time ago.

TO those who haven't visited; just go there for an experience that only Jodhpur can give.

Yes it goes without saying that Indian mainstream media will always print and portray negative news about Pakistan...this is a no brainer, compare this with DAWN news in Pakistan, most of the time I don't see any bias and negativity against India, many other media as well.


The reason is simple...you being an Indian, and I am across the border, it comes naturally. Still on Indian content I see less vitriol from Pakistan members, on Pakistan related videos there was always a deluge of Indians saying all the senile and bad things about Pakistan...

i meant related to foreign tourists visiting india. itbis hard to deny that there are more videos about foreign tourists visiting india than pakistan, and the overwhelming majorit are positive. I can count negative indian travel vlogs on my fingers.

just try seaching "Indian travel vlogs" and see how many videos you get. than repeat for pakistan. Also compare the views each country gets and how many subscribers the uploaders have. Obviously, there are videos that show pakistan positively just not as many as india.

bit once again that isndento the larger sample size. and as inmentioned, they areminiscue compared to all the positive stories. And despite those negative stories, india still has a better reputayion than pakistan in most countries, which is why it ges more tourists. The fact is may foreign tourits(inc. women) would not have any problems with going to india, but would not take the risk of going to pakitan. And btw i do not hate pakistan and hope it improves in many aspects including tourism, bt posting negative news about india will not help pakistan. Its not like tourists who choose not to go to india for safety reasons wil suddenly decide to gotto pakistan onstead. This thread was simply to counter the narrative by some pakistani posters and provide a perspective they dont want others to see.

that is my opinion based on personal observations. now the reputation part can have some amount of subjectivity, but you cannot deny that india has far more tourists than pakistan. Tourism in india has increased even more since the indian government has taken the right dteps in improving tourist infrastructure and safety and increasing awareness around the world. Over 10 million foreign tourists a year visit india and that number is set to grow And btw i want pakistan's reputation to improve, since i feel it has been unfairly labeled by the western media in some regards. But still, posting negative news threads about india will do nothing to boost pakistan, especially since most viewerd of those threads had no intention of going to india in the first place. Most tourists to pak usually enter after visiting india, so pakistanis should WANT indian tourism to increase.

This is a very good video about Jodhpur. Interestingly, it was posted by the same woman who posted that viral video about almost getting sexually assaulted(which was very unfortunate). Many Pakistanis and their cheerleaders posted that video on this forum. But now they have completely forgotten her. Kind of like how some Pakistanis loved Karl Rock when he visited Pakistan and said good things about Pak, but now all of a sudden nobody mentions him. Strange, is it not?
