Mate, dont be foolish, we are talking about fisherman here. Even by going your logic if Indian Navy attacks first to die will be Sri Lankan Tamil fisherman. The only thing i can say is dont disturb Sri Lankan tamil fisherman.

Its said in the report itself that fisherman rarely respects the international boundaries meaning SL fisherman also stray to Indian waters. The problem it seems is that Indian/TN fishermen have better boats and nets and take in larger catch. You think SL fishermen is the only one having problem. Indian fishermen regularly complain about large foreign factory ships scooping everything from the Indian coasts leaving very little for the local fishermen. Yes, 2 wrongs does not make a right but you are not alone in this case.

listen, if these fishermen are violating your territory, arrest them, apprehend them and raise the issue with Indian embassy in SL. Don't need to kill them and raise regional tensions. Any violation for fishing as per international laws means you have the right to arrest and apprehend these illegal fishermen. Go on, take the lawful course. We don't mind.

the thing is that these lankans have sucessfully fooled you people into thinking that these fishing is illegal...on the contrary...according to an old treaty tamil fishermen are legally allowed to fish in the ktheevu waters...and they should have thought about this before they got the island and surrounding waters from india........

Stupid S.M krishna speak anything , don't give importance for his speech. Our goverment hand over kachathivu autonomously without the consent of parliament and state government. State government already filed the case ,v will get back that island shortly. Then our fisherman issue resolved.

Hey Tamil guy, local fisherman in north and east of Sri Lanka are tamils, Sri Lankan tamil fisherman complain this issue to Sri Lankan officals daily. Interesting issue is Tamil nadu tamil fisherman directly hurting Sri Lankan tamil fisherman.

Funny thing is Sri Lankan fishermen venture into Indian waters several times but the Indian Coast Guard doesn't make an issue out of it . The Sri Lankan navy on the other hand does not stop at anything , threatening fishermen , damaging boats , even firing sometimes to deter Indian fishermen from trespassing .

Sri Lanka needs to understand cordial relations are not one -sided.
