Oh my god. Indian scientists have just found HIV (AIDS) virus-like insertions in the 2019-nCov virus that are not found in any other coronavirus. They hint at the possibility that this Chinese virus was designed ["not fortuitous']. Scary if true.

Not a biologist; but is it not possible that the virus mutated in a host with HIV present?

If not then it seems likely that the Chinese were developing it at the Wuhan lab and it escaped; or I also heard a conspiracy theory that its American and they released it so the world isolates China, I mean somebody only has to prove that exported goods are contaminated and thats it.

I am not well versed in virology but yes thts wht it seems to mean.
Or maybe not,,,not sure.
With PCR/rtPCR they may have detected these regions(amino acids) using already available probes/primer for HIV.but not sure,,cant open original article.
