Yeah thats true but there are many military satellites planned. I think ISRO and DRDO should set up a separate defence chapter of ISRO something like Defence space research organisation.
There are 7 IRNSS satellites and atleast 1 satellite for each of the 3 arms of our armed forces. I have also heard that demands for extra satellites for IN and IAF already has emerged even before the 1 satellite planned for them. IN is looking for atleast 3 satellites. There is an indication of atleast one more powerful spy satellite for our spy agencies.

Thats BS...if satellites were ready GOI would have given sanctions for launch from anywhere MOD wanted. Space is given top priority in 2012-2022 plan.
RISAT planned launch was in 2012 and you are saying it was built before time ? If its true it will be a record.RISAT with Indian SAR has been ready for a while but no launch due to lack of a medium lift launch vehicle which is why GSLV needs to be perfected
RISAT only weighs 1,780kg PSLV can take that
I was listening to the ISRO director's address after the successful launch. He said the RISAT and associated projects are ready and now waiting on GSLV Mark II and Mark III

Megha tropiques weighed only a 1000 kg compared to RISAT's 1780.....The PSLV cannot handle it.
Are these military satellites under the control of the armed forces or do the scientists still have to handle them?
