HAL Dhruv has pretty much grey service history.To date 13 have crashed.
Ecuadorian Air Force operated them once.They purchased 7 in total,out of which 4 crashed in less then a decade and they did put remaining 3 on sale.
I don't know what Lt Gen was thinking when he boarded that plane.

He is a sikh....thinking is not their strong point
 
couldn't auto rotation help despite 5-6 person load? it looks like a dead weight had fallen from 10 stories.
