although i agree the time has come to retire the chetaks and cheetahs, but beleive me there is nothing wrong with the aircraft. it still operates at high altitudes and is still a very safe flying machine (having had the pleasure of flying it myself although as journalist that too a civilian version).

i think indian armed forces (IAF and army) need to have a re-look at their maintenance practices.

they avoided a crowded residential area and had selected a vacant ground to force land, however i think they couldnt not avoid the house located close to that vacant ground.
