Indians can mate a ballistic missile with their Mirage 2000 fighters. It won’t make any difference. Indian pilots lack training and confidence.

The Rafale and EF are two expensive fighters to maintain. From logistics to acquisition. Training and induction. It is going to take years before the Rafale even becomes a fully inducted dream for IAF.

PAF will be inducting higher JF-17 blocks and possibly a 5th gen fighter by then.

Exactly, getting French equipment isn't hard, keeping it and getting spares for it is.

France, US and Israel all participated in the 26-27 feb skirmish.

France and US actually fooled Indians. Now Lockheed Martin will present their new block of F-16 for Indian Air Force again, securing a deal for billions of dollars, same with france, getting deals for Rafale, meteor and upgrades for mirage etc.
