Indian road sucks especially in that region. Almost developed arthritis due to a bus journey from Jaipur to agra.

What about Noida agra expressway? Or any straight strech of Golden quadrilateral? I drove from Pune to Delhi on GQ and it was a very well maintained road. Some streches are perfect and straight and can be used for aircrafts too with little modification.

Considering the fact that main threat to Pakistan is from east I don't think Pakistan lacks the depth you're interested in. Have a look at the map, there are plenty of airstrips that can be used in emergency.

@Emmie, the one you used is an incomplete map of Pakistan. Use correct map whenever you do.
