No way in hell. US cannot be trusted for such crucial Military assets. We wouldn't even buy F-22's if we were offered. Rather go with Russia all the way. MMRCA is a very tricky choice, and I'm damn sure US wont get it.

Wouldn't the speed of induction be fast....If it's given to one vendor and by the full aircrafts are inducted it will become outdated..

It would add upto immense cost of maintainence and lots of other factors..

Its not like a regular buy where u buy them from 4 different stores.

Time factor is stipulated in the original tender itself

Apart from the initial batch of 18 the rest of them will built by HAL here. So 2 line of manufacturing will further lag the program..

What do you say now??
