"The U.S. and India have a long history of space collaboration. The first rocket launched from India in 1963 was a U.S.-made Nike-Apache rocket. In the mid-1970s, NASA repositioned its Application Technology Satellite (ATS-6) to help India realize its Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE). In the 1980s, all four of the satellites used in the first series of the India National Satellite (INSAT) System were built in the U.S. " Link

India's Moon Mission successful in 2008, congratulation!
WoW!!!
No its actually Hitler's Germany. If you can go back to 1960s than we can go 20 years more. Hitler's Germany is said to be the base of modern rocket technologies and and US got a lot of help from them. So US 'bought' India to 2008 moon mission with helping Nike-Apache rocket in 1962.
BTW I have something same for you as well.... the same Nike Apache and many more... lol According to your logic Pakistan should have gone to Moon and beyond, but nothing more than some sounding rockets so far.
"Sonmiani Satellite Launch Center (spaceport) approximately 145 kilometres northwest of Karachi, Pakistan. The facility became operational in the late of 1962. Sonmiani Satellite Launch Center was planned and constructed by U.S.'s space agency, NASA in the early 1962s when a team of NASA's engineers visited Pakistan. Sonmiani Satellite Launch Center was extensivily used by NASA to conduct research in Space and rocket technology. Sonmiani Satellite Launch Center was South Asia's first space research center and launch facility."
