A very poor and underdeveloped/undernourished India should not think of the development of another country like Bangladesh.
You are a funny person. It is obvious that you have some good knowledge about certain issues, especially history.
But you also have too many biases and hatred and you let it cloud your judgment and ability to see basic facts. A pity really. You are one Bangladeshi one could hope to engage in a fruitful discussion if you didn't let these traits overcome you.
I am not sure why there needs to be so much venom!
Now poverty is a problem in both our countries (and several others). At this point, Bangladesh is certainly poorer, an LDC that is given concessions by other SAARC nations so that it can come out of the LDC tag.
It can only be good for Bangladesh if India (or anyone) helps you. Why let the fragile ego come in the way of what is good for hundreds of millions of your fellow countrymen?
There are issues between any two nations. The ones between India and Bangladesh are frankly not so big as to cause such hostilities. The reasons are different.
Rather, it is the other way. BD is providing foreign exchange to India by purchasing some unnecessary stuffs and is now giving a kind of development assistance to India by allowing transhipment of goods and machineries. India remains underdeveloped without our help.
You seem to lack basic knowledge of economics when you make such comments. Trade imbalance is a common feature of international trade. India runs a large negative imabalance against Chins, it doesn't mean we are subsidizing them or giving them "a kind of development assistance"!
Transhipment is a very common facility that all neighbors all over the world provide to each other. Why make it such a big issue?
Your govt also keeps on requesting our army to take part against the independence movement of Assamese. A day will come when a helpless India will request to help it against the Maoists. Grow up and learn the reality before you brag again.
You got your basic facts wrong. Your army has nothing to do with the ULFA rebels, we have only asked Bangladesh to not provide them sanctuaries inside Bangladesh.
I know some people dream that they will get the North East of India. Just know that you are incapable to get a single square inch of India. And India will make a glass bowl of those dreamers before allowing a single square inch to go away.
We better focus on improving our countries and region rather than impossible dreams.
