Nope, a very reasonable 'baniya' is you ask me.

Had it been 70s, it'd had made sense to invest in an advanced tank. But now, the role of tank has diminished greatly because of high precision ATGM. Even a cheap armored vehicle with an optoelectronic imaging device and ATGM firing ability can stop a costly tank dead in it's track, i'm not even counting CAS support from adversary aircraft. In modern days, tank's role is only limited to getting strong foothold on acquired land, and secondary fire support for infantry troops. And Arjun can fit in that shoe very nicely.

I'm in favor of 150 Rafales, but not even 10 Armatas.
