I can't wait! No, I'm very certain that India will catch up with China in population.
For such a tiny country with more than China's population and millions of jobless low-skill youth!

To tell the truth, the Indian's world view is very narrow. Isn't it? Super powers. Please look at who started this thread. He is Chinese. Please also look at all this posters other threads, they are all exactly the same, different ways to boast...nothing more , nothing less.

China has built 100,000km expressways within 20 years....
For China, the gap is 20 years. For india, that will need N years....(now india's expressways around 1000km)
So as Chinese we can talk about 20 years, but probably not the other way....
Late 1970s to 1980s
As filthy as Mumbai 2016?

More arable land so what?We are not tiny. We have more arable land than China. Most of China's land is unarable, in the west, where no one lives.
Also, India's growth in population is what I will call decent and healthy. It is growing just below the world average. With real GDP growth rate of 7.5%, and a population growth rate of 1%, the per capita GDP in real terms is rising at greater than 6%.
More than 6% growth rate for 2 decades, and we will be really well off.
More arable land so what?
No agitation, no good treatment.....much smaller yield.....
Our Western China is a 2 trillion dollars economy for you reference, growing at 8-10% annually....

We are talking about Western China,Yeah, but that includes places like Sichuan.
If you include only Tibet, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang, these are massive in land area, but don't have much economic activity.
Why do you follow me around the forum spouting gibberish? Does it still hurt that I once slapped you around with a wet fish for telling lies?To tell the truth, the Indian's world view is very narrow. Isn't it? Super powers.

yes if i judge according to pictures you posted todays mumbai is better in some places and worse in some , on an average i would say it looks somewhat like todays mumbai . and in 2005 china's gdp/capita was around 1700 $ mark . and now in 2016 ,in 11 years time it is around $8000Late 1970s to 1980s
As filthy as Mumbai 2016?
In the next 300 years there are no chances of India catching up with China. That would require a fundamental change in thinking pattern, which unfortunately Indian intelligentsia and policy makers are not capable of doing.
For Indians the world starts and ends with comparing themselves to Pakistan to feel good. Being governed by extremist pathological liars such as delusional Modi, Devil, Manohar, Swami etc is not helping either. They could be good liars, thats about it.
But in real terms to compete with a near super power such as China requires a LOT more than that.

good joke ...next one please
