India takes control of Tibetan leader Karmapa's land

"ad hominem ": Isn't that the technical name for gay advertisements? Wow, so much English to learn from my ChiCom comrades :-) Damn, the 50 cents really add up, don't they? You guys actually went and bought an English dictionary!!

Ok, now that you both have advertised your services and hobbies, can you studs get down to answering my question about the CIA support to the Hon.Dalai Lama?

Why did your mind automatically jump to that?

It is a Latin phrase, that refers to an argument made against a person (personal attacks), rather than against the argument itself.

It is funny, that the first thing that came to your mind was... :D

No no please let's not start bickering because I really do want some answers. Why aren't Indians upset by this? Where is the outrage?

The biggest proof of the Karmapa's being a stooge is the fact that you and your paymasters are defending him!!

The CIA ever paying the Tibetan government in exile is certainly news to me, but when you think about it, what is surprising? Back in the 60's, did the US and ChiCom ever have good relations? I suppose not. Then why wouldn't the Americans help the Tibetan freedom fighters in their struggle against the original evil empire?

In the interest of being fair, I'll say again that this news article is a revelation.

I think Abir explained it quite well that foreign nationals are not allowed to own land India!!..then why should there be an outrage on a Non-issue.

Which brings me to my point

Could it be that Indians will only support the Tibetans when they are used as a bludgeon against China and that they actually couldn't give a damn?

Oh wow, some members are working hard for their money today :-)

About the lack of outrage from Indians, I can speak only for myself. I am actually shocked that the Indian government let their love of Tibetan refugees cloud their thinking in allowing this puppet into the Rumtek Monastery, which is one of the richest around.

So no, I don't expect anyone to be outraged by anything that happened to the 17th Karmapa.

And nobody gives a damn for a traitor, would you?

If one of the Falun Gong types were being hassled by the US police, would you be outraged?

Sorry if my arguments are going to affect your performance ratings.......

lol because you Indians are never protest against legal decisions right? Go exercise some of some of that vaunted political freedom that you keep bragging about.

No, I suspect that most Indians who shout their heads off for the Dalai Lama when China accuses him of being a stooge, wouldn't lift a finger for the Karmapa Lama.

Boy, which part of my posts did you not understand?

Do you NOT get the difference between the Hon.Dalai Lama and the 17th Karmapa?

"No, I suspect that most Indians who shout their heads off for the Dalai Lama when China accuses him of being a stooge, wouldn't lift a finger for the Karmapa Lama"

Absolutely correct. Why, you ask? Read the posts, for Chrissakes!

Which makes the whole episode so much more delicious is the fact that Karmapa Lama isn't actually connect to the Chinese government but is revered by Tibetans.

If thats what you understood from all the posts above, then you really have misspent your time in Canada when you should have instead been picking up English!!!

Wait, are you really in Canada? Is Canada spelled B.E.I.J.I.N.G.?
