India and Saudi Arabia on Monday agreed to set up a "strategic partnership council" to deepen cooperation to combat terrorism.

Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed al-Jubeir discussed the proposal with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj during a brief visit to New Delhi on Monday, according to a statement issued by India's foreign ministry.

Without naming any country, Swaraj said “an immediate irreversible and verifiable action to dismantle terror infrastructure is essential to fight the menace of terrorism.”

Al-Jubeir called on the Indian leadership days after he visited Pakistan, where he held meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The minister had at the time assured Islamabad of Saudi Arabia's "support to seek peaceful settlement of all outstanding disputes between Pakistan and India".

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had offered intelligence sharing and other cooperation with India in fighting extremism and terrorism during his visit to New Delhi last month.

His visit came at a time of heightened tension between nuclear rivals India and Pakistan following a suicide attack on an Indian convoy of paramilitary forces in Indian-occupied Kashmir that left 40 soldiers dead

Well KSA calls Iranians terrorists , so is India going to break off relationships with Iran?
We have relations with both Palestine and Israel, so there is no reason not to have relations with Iran and Saudi. Not that the Iranians have any choice, they need to sell their oil to someone.

We can greatly benefit from this Intel sharing both our eastern and western flanks could be secured - - - - - - - thank you india :D
We are just paying you back the favor. For the first time in years, you remembered that JeM exists in your country and arrested their leaders and seized their mosques, saving RAW the trouble. See how easy things are when we cooperate:cheers:

Hahahahahahhahahahaha
Keep laughing. It is good for your health.

Fools have some privileges like establishing of a intelligence council with the strategic ally of their enemy state :enjoy:
Indian services are not run by illiterates like our politicians, they are run by Our elite Officers, by virtue of which Pakistan fails diplomatically, everytime, everywhere...

Last time I checked every other international forum is rebuking bharat, including the sports bodies which are calling for boycott of india - - - - - your elite officers suck like your airforce :P

The irony in this is hilarious. Saudis spreads terrorism by funding ISIS and spreading extremist sect wahabism around the world whereas India spreads terrorism by funding TTP and Balochi Separatists. These people are such hypocrites.

Wrong. The UNSC condemned the terror attack and praised India's role in combating terror in Kashmir. The OIC did not mention the K word in their final declaration, the only one that matters, and actually praised India in its support against terrorism. Not to mention it rejected your request to disinvite us as their guest of honor. Pretty embarrassing for the founding member. Other than Turkey, not a single country has supported Pakistan in this conflict or its stance on Kashmir. Even iron brother China has been neautral. I wonder who is isolated?

What makes you think Saudi Arabia is YOUR strategic ally other than the fact they are giving you money? Saudi's ties with India are much stronger. The fact it invested 100 billion in India compared to 20 bil in Pak and that it has not condemned India's actions in Kashmir show that.

On a lighter note, sometimes i think, how the conversation between these 2 leaders are managed?? Definitely, Indias terrorist is not the same as terrorist for SA....they may be mutually exclusive to each other..Like SA supports Kashmir sepratist movement and Indias stand is different...So how can they announce such kind of hilarious and funny cooperation between each other??
