because DRDO electronics labs develop and design the product while BEL just manufactures them through TOT which is why i want all the DRDO electronics labs merged with BEL and it become a privatized company so it can do its own R&D and manufacture its products like Raytheon and ELTA

yeah but i am talking about pvt/public companies who work for the domestic or global defense market DARPA is a gov't agency who develops new cutting edge technology btw these guys have a budget of several billion dollars these guys make the DRDO look like cavemen its best if the labs of the DRDO respective of there field of R&D be merged with public/pvt companies who want to enter the defense industry

like all of the aeronautical labs be merged with Mahindra aerospace

Mate BEL does some R&D in cooperation with DRDO. But DRDO is the primary R&D agency of the GoI/MoD. DRDO, HAL, BEL, BDL etc work very closely.

yeah there are divisions labs operate under the respective division in the DRDO you have aeronautics, armaments, electronics, combat vehicles/vehicles/engineering, advanced materials, missiles etc each division or part of it could be merged with a Indian defense company

they did this back in Russia they were called OKB's named after the head of the OKB some of the famous OKBs' like Sukhoi, Mikoyan, Almaz etc
