I agree that India democratic system lags behind those from the West. In some cases they sometimes adopt measures that even China doesn't. They still have a long way to go.

In the state of Gujurat, there are separate water fountains, train carts, and benches for Muslims. Muslims are always served in disposable dishes and cups, while Hindus are given proper silverware in restaurants.

In Mumbai, even Muslim actors have a hard time finding a hotel which will accept Muslims.

If Muslims are caught even standing next to a cow, you could be mob lynched by cow vigilantes, while the public and police applaud that action.

Much of the rape violence is perpetuated on Muslim women by gangs of Hindu Modi supporters, yet the government hides the names and religion of the victims to cover it up.
