What's new

India is number ONE in slavery

I think you need to paintbrush the colour of China to the same as India's dark red as shown in the above map if the fact makes you sleepless at night :dirol:

This report just adds another "the world's worst" title to India's long list which is growing more than the habitually boastful Indans can accept :cheesy:

You killed 3 people, I killed 14, both are killers, both get the same punishment.
Why is your collar up here?

Off topic though:
But you forgot that China is a diabetes Capital of the world?
Half of the (600 million) population is prediabetes.

You wont talk about your country's drawbacks, but dance on other's.

Yep I'm such a slave that I can walk several meters in front of a higher caste person without problems.

My apartment in Hong Kong alone (highest property prices in the world) is probably worth more than an entire village of Indians.

Sounds like a slave right? :P

Anyway that's not the topic, the topic is the fact that India has more slaves than the rest of the world combined. Not even counting the 200 million Indian Dalits, or the 200 million Indian Muslims who now have a mass murderer of Muslims lording over them.

You are one of my first few Chinese friends here, I hope our petty differences haven't spoiled our mutually friendly relations, we Indians and Chinese even share the similar ideologies of Hinduism and Buddhism and thousands of years of cultural linkages, I am pretty sure with mutual respect and consideration for each other we can work around our petty differences to have a healthy relation with each other, both at individual and state level.

Btw you are not giving me any positive ratings for many months now, maybe some of my posts are not favourable towards China, but they don't lack in quality, do they? :) Maybe I can reduce pointing out some of the unpalatable facts about China, if that hurts anybody, I am a soft-hearted friendly person and I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, even if that means truth need not be spoken. :)

I would like to conclude with one story: A dog and a lion used to be good friends, the lion was thin because food was scarce in the jungle, so the dog suggested the lion to go to his place because he lives in a nice place and gets good food to eat. The lion agreed and they were walking towards the dogs place, suddenly the lion noticed a mark on the dog's neck, he became curious and asked the dog about the mark, the dog replied; "Oh it's nothing, I am a pet dog and my master keeps me chained at home"! Hearing this, the lion stopped and said; "All the best to you with your good life mate, but I am not going to sacrifice my freedom in exchange of anything", saying this the lion went back to the jungle.

It's just that the priorities are different for different animals. :)

However, we can still remain friends. :)

The anomaly in statistics and reality is because of the reason that in China almost every citizen apart from the handful of CCP officials are slaves, even the ordinary party members are slaves, maybe some of them are well-fed slaves, but slaves anyway. Unfortunately no statistics would record this simple fact, hence the anomaly...! :)
Yes, I suspect the same as well. There is a complete lack of data in this case actually.

Please keep your distance from us if you want sympathisers for your massive frustrations. Just go away and stay away from a long distance please :cheesy:

That is the ill-effect undesirably brought forth with wealth and change in eating habits of our folks
We are consuming more meat which leads to building up more body fats and too much soft drinks and booze all add to the ailments
People should be getting more health conscious by the frightening statistics which are driven by indulgence and the corruptions of much improved living 8-)

Who are you fooling with your zig zag, ragtag response?

Above things are consumed freely and abundantly in advanced = OECD countries, and they don't seem to have such malaise..
Get your facts right.

OECD countries dont eat as much rice

The funny part here is that almost all of us take this report as 100% true.
Where are the statistics for the illegal Mexicans and Indians and Chinese and others like east Europeans who are enslaved in the US.
A white man writes and the Asians gulp it up. Hook, line and sinker.
Yes there is a huge problem in slavery in Asia. And we should try and do our best to eradicate it. But beware of western propaganda.
Also remember the countries which benefited most from slavery and they took a lot of time to abolish it after their freedom. Our countries are not even 75 years old.

And who the hell tells you eating rice will increase the chances of diabetes?

Japan/Singapore and more...

Ragtag response once again?

you are drawing things by bits but not with a consolidated thinking

It is rice - a staple food in our diet + lots of meat and sugar + alcohol laced drinks. The later part is a change of eating habits in a generation that gets richer, 8-)

Pakistan is not far behind either ! :(

Waisee @levina apa @SarthakGanguly @scorpionx do you think this Slavery Index includes those poor....poor husband who've had the name tag 'Joru ka Ghulam' eternally attached to them ? :undecided:
