Come on guys.. In my entire life I never seen any BD muslim ever left for India for a better life. Legal or Illegal. Yes there are Hindus who did, and there are families who they left behind still sending them money to India to support them.

I couldn't express it better. This is a historical fact that most rich Bangladeshi Hindus are contributing in the Indian economy by illegal money laundering from Bangladesh. Family members of many wealthy Bangladeshi Hindus immigrate to India, everybody knows that In Bangladesh. Of course, some members of those divided families do remain in Bangladesh for business. They will never leave completely as Bangladesh is unknown for any religious riots historically and many Hindus are doing good business in Bangladesh without any discrimination whatsoever. This is simply treacherous and it harms Bangladesh economy. The big mouth Indians must acknowledge these facts before spreading their usual venom in all possible issues related to Bangladesh, Pakistan or Islam and Muslims.
On the other hand, this is a popular belief in Bangladesh that India maintains thousands of RAW agents in Bangladesh who are mixed with the population. There are overwhelming circumstantial evidences in support of that belief.
There was a thread started by “Idune” in PDF in April 2009 with the subject heading, “ half a Million Illegal Indians Staying and Working in Bangladesh” . Here is it:

“According to Bangladesh home ministry officials there are around half a million Indians illegally staying and working in Bangladesh. These Indians are mostly working in garments, NGO, IT and other sectors. Some even have shops and illegal medical diagnostics and medical practice. Not only these illegal Indians do not pay any tax but they also send millions of dollars worth money to India through illegal smuggling channel.

There are also illegals from Pakistan and Srilanka but they are very few in numbers.

Indians who seeks job in Bangladesh had and are mostly entered abusing short term tourist and on arrival visa facilities. In secretary level meeting with India, Bangladesh had raised this issue in 2007 but for obvious reason Indian side was mum on this subject. According to intelligence agencies, Indians in the Bangladesh has been used by Indian RAW in its subversive activities in Bangladesh.

Hmmm!! If Home Ministry under present government gives a figure of half a million illegal Indians, the actual figure may be anyone’s guess. However, it is obvious that Home Ministry does not have any reliable data on the issue.

One can only guess the alarming number of Indians in Bangladesh by seeing the number of Indians in shopping centers in any Bangladeshi metropolitan cities. They are easily identifiable when the speak.

1) Are they illegal immigrants?

2) If we're talking about legal immigrants, what's the number of legal Indian immigrants in BD? Just curious.

3) When some countrywide census was carried out to identify 20/30 million illegals, why were they not deported? Did the BJP officials decide to let them stay permanently on compassionate grounds? ;p
