Is there any possibility if India join the SCO, and then we could figure out a mechanism to solve our border dispute? Russia could always serves as a communication bridge between us.

I think its better to resolve the border issue before the SCO. That way the partnership will be more meaningful and successful.

India does not believe in having intermediaries to resole bilateral matters so its unlikely Russia would interfere, nor would India appreciate it.

I think its better to resolve the border issue before the SCO. That way the partnership will be more meaningful and successful.

Modi did not name China. If you feel the shoe fit then its your guilty complex. The same 18 century expansionist mindset could be true of Russia in Ukraine or Pakistan in kashmir.

Common sense suggest that it obviously a statement made after negotiating with Japan. It was a join press conference after all.

So what's the point, NPT has been relaxed for India anyways, and that has been done on purpose!! Both the acts of US/Australia are good for India and that's what we need to care about. Obviously US/Australia would have their own interests as well. The two nations can work together till the point both have conflicting interests and we have not reached their yet.
