India is "closely watching" recent development in Afghanistan regarding the peace initiatives and does not find any reason to be concerned by changes in US policy on Afghanistan.

Sources have told WION that the "basis of US South Asia policy was not India front and centre but US in Afghanistan". US South Asia policy under Trump administration had called for greater participation of India, something that had miffed Pakistan.
India's official policy on Afghan peace process is that it should be Afghan-led, Afghan-owned, and Afghan-controlled and with participation of the Government of Afghanistan.

On recent participation of New Delhi at non official level during moscow format talks on Afghanistan, sources said "we haven't spoken to the Taliban and that is our policy" but "India would like to be in all the processes since we have legitimate interest in Afghanistan"

India sent 2 former diplomats-- Amar Sinha, India's former envoy to Afghanistan & TCA Raghavan at non-official level at the Moscow talks.

US special representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad will be visiting India in January during which he will be meeting Indian leadership and brief them about developments in Afghanistan.

Recent months have seen hectic parleys on peace in Afghanistan. Earlier this month Foreign Ministers of China, Afghanistan & Pakistan meet in Kabul and earlier this week Pakistani FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi was in Kabul, his 2nd visit to the country in one month. Iran, US, Russia have been engaging with Taliban.

The Indian flop strategists can only sit close to the TV screen and watch developments in Afghanistan... But it will not make a difference.

Pakistan First!

We will see lol?again seeing the Indian press there is lot of desparate moves
i have noticed the indian press is a lot like the us. Sensationalism and exaggeration over facts and evidence based discussions. I would not take it too seriously.

Also remember at maximum trump will be in office only until 2024. After that it is likely a more traditional dem or repub will win and move back into afghanistan. In fact Biden is a front runner for 2020, and he is pretty much an obama 2.0. Even if the taliban is anti india, i doubt they will be able to completely kick out india in 6 years.

Sure they can't!!!!!!!!.............the american superpower after spending $100s of billions over 17 years couldn't destroy the Taliban and you think they can't kick indians out in 6 years??????????..........wtf???????..........:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

The reason the taliban won is because they were on the Defensive you idiot. If the taliban eants to kick out india, it will have to Be on the offensive. Not to mention if they want to be the legitimate rulers of afghanistan, they cannot attack another country's consulates, which is an act of war. I can guarantee if the taliban takes over they will make some deals with india and nothing will change with pakistan once again being sidelined. To put things in perspective despite not sharing a land border with afghanistan, india's trade with afghanistan is more than pakistan, and india has already invested billions into investment projects such as dams and roads. The taliban cannot just ignore india's prescence.

Perhaps your mama is an idiot..........so the Taliban won by being passive and defensive.....by being good boys......lol.....this is NOT a bollywood film
........:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Deals with india???????.........wtf!!!!!!!!........have you ANY idea how religious and Islamically zealous the Taliban are???????........they absolutely HATE indian hindus/sikhs with a deeper passion than even we do!!!!!............you obviously know NOTHING about that part of the world and afghans/Pathans.....

Listen to indians?????.......:rofl::rofl::rofl:.......these guys think nothing of americans/White Westerners and you think they'll listen to a group of people they think are racially inferior and whom they hate with a disturbing passion.......:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The Soviets also invested in billions with them, built up the afghan infrastructure and had more trade with afghanistan than Pakistan did, yet when the time came, the Taliban and others just destroyed everything...........these people are not indians........they don't worship money neither do they give a f**k about it.......

India is already in afghanistan, we aren't going anywhere my friend. And what makes you think the taliban is inherently anti-India?
I wish that was true... because it would be "fun" if India stays in Afghanistan especially when Taliban takeover the rest 35% of Afghanistan and form the government in Kabul.

does not matter what the taliban thinks now. If they want to govern they will haveto be pragmatic. Money is a major factor in foreign relations, an example is how IK supports china despite its treatment of uighers and sells JF thundrs to myanmar which persecutes rohingyas. and the taliban won using guerilla warfare, a defensive strategy. Guerilla warfare will not help them kick out Indians. And India WILl defend its investments in Afghanistan.

What you FAIL to understand is that the Taliban DON'T think like this nor do they think like indians. IF they did then afghanistan would have been been a Soviet Switzerland since 1979. But as communism is anti-religion, the Taliban decided to fight it till the end rather than become rich and have a semi-developed nation. If there's one thing the Taliban hate the most , even more so than Pakistanis do; is indian hindus/sikhs whom they regard as racially inferior idol-worshippers. As you are not from this part of the world and belong to a completely different race, you simply don't understand the reality here nor do you understand Pathans/afghans who have NOTHING in common with you.

PS if the americans can't destroy the Taliban after more than 17 years then the indians stand 0 chance. In fact they will crush the indians like ants and there is nothing indian kind can do about it apart from rant on the net.........
