Monitoring, is in no way against freedom of expression. All countries have access to stuff posted on the net by their citizens, that does not mean they are denied freedom to post.

But if I were to start saying ''ahmedis should be killed'' and next day ahmedi doctor gets murdered, that needs to be stopped and is not covered by freedom of speech. You in Pakistan should realise it and must do some monitoring yourself.

Janaji a lot of things are not justified. In India if you are a male you can join Army,Vote, own property and do transactions as an adult if you are 18, but law forbids you to marry until you reach the age of 21.

In Kerala you can buy alcohol if you are 18, but in Maharashtra you have to be 25 to do the same.

My post was based on the information I got from a local news paper. When I checked internet, there are conflicting answers. Some say that watching or downloading **** is illegal while some other say that its legal as long as you do it in private. The law is very vague.Anyways most agree on one thing that if police had to go after each and every' **** surfer' a million jails have to be build to house them. So the law is used as a scare tactic and nothing else.

Also someone pls tell me if its okay in India to download movies/songs through ********.

Do you even know what it is like here? People were never controlled to the level they do it at your place. With the pathetic speed of "clamping" it will take them a century to cover entire India. The reason why FB is being accessed into is the same goddamn reason why BlackBerry and Google are supposed to give access to security forces to tap into potentially anti-national messages.

Since terrorists are using Facebook and Twitter as a communication medium so no Indians will have a problem if there is a monitoring there if it helps escape terrorism in the country and prevent bomb blasts killing innocents..

Read before comment, a little knowledge and information is a dangerous thing and some times it tun into poison. Indian gov is not banning these services, Gov needs full access to their Indian server. If you remember the same case was happen with Blackberry and other services like skype.
