I do not understand ho many people actually understand the issue here. There are certain privileges given to diplomats whether they are liked or not and their cares are facilitated. How come only pk. are making all the noise? What about diplomats of other countries? Pk. must really teach their diplomats to go cash less. Even the vegetable vendors of my third tier city are accepting mobile pay and debit cards.

There is no issue in getting their own salaries in any form they wish, whether it be hard cash or the other forms but it is the choice of the diplomat. The rants here are not even considering what it means to be a diplomat and are going to why they need the cash. It is money which is in the bank, which means there is a paper trail where it came from, and now withdrawing it should be on the whim of the account holder. And the bank has not given the cash, which is it's responsibility. Why not start by questioning why the cash was not given, was there none to be given or was this done on purpose. If done on purpose it is not difficult to do the same to your diplomats but that is petty and meaningless. Wonder why not just call your diplomats back so we can do the same if you want to play these childish games.
Then it is stupid and childish, the feud is between two governments and the diplomats should not suffer needlessly. I wonder if the same is done to the Indian counterpart or something as childish is done in some other way what purpose it will serve.I believe it was done on purpose in all probability.

come on rules are rules its for all the people in India. Its not specific to Pakistan. Ask them to do the required documentation and withdraw the money.
The whole country is doing the same so why is Pakistan embassy complaining about it ?
When you commented i think u didnt understand the context so thought this post would help.

No, i mean to ask if only Pk. diplomats are being targeted here or the rules are same for all countries?
No i failed to find any such rule to target specifically the Pk diplomats here. The OP here mentionedI think U should already know why only Pakistani Diplomats are being targeted here.
No i failed to find any such rule to target specifically the Pk diplomats here. The OP here mentioned
"Banks in India require for diplomats to provide documentation on purpose of withdrawal, for any amount over $5,000"
That is why I asked, what about the diplomats of other countries? They are not complaining (yet).
The actual problem is here:
"While the MEA said it will “look into” the complaint filed by the mission, Pakistani diplomats said the trouble faced by them is not related to demonetisation. “We are finding it difficult to perform our duties as the bank where we conduct our transactions has been refusing to let us withdraw cash. This is an unprecedented challenge as the bank is declining our legitimate requests to withdraw our own money,” said a diplomat."

It has got nothing to do with that $5000 thing as yes rule for all are same but they are being refused even any kind of withdrawal and thats happening only with Pakistani diplomats.
Please don't doubt “Modi-nomics”.

I put this “demonetisation” called “Modi-nomics”
Everybody agree?
