in all honesty, i don't have any personal beef with anyone, but i hope these "BHATTACHARJEE" would at lease understand what it is like to be living in a country where you will be murdered just over a Facebook post to speak up against country X, even in a rational way.

I don't offer views on the irrelevant or the selectively inflammatory. Think of what I could come up with in terms of insinuations, if I were to dig into my personal family history; it would put some of your stories into the shade.

I reacted first time to harrassment, to being asked persistently about why the hijab and the burqa were considered un-Bengali, a position taken by someone with whom I had no connection. Even if the answer is obvious, it is not for me to take any views on the matter; it is not within the common experience of Bangalis, it is something that can bother only those who do wear burqas (not hijabs).

The second time I reacted to smut, something I consider offensive, and something that seems to be endemic to the posts of a juvenile delinquent.
