SU30 is likely to be in service for another 25-30 years. MRFA program is still on. Whatever comes in, would fill the gap to an extent.

AMCA is the first iteration of 5th Gen. It is not the end of that program but a start. It is likely that the next version will start taking shape as AMCA is getting inducted or maybe before that.

Another aspect is requirement to have only stealth aircraft as the mainstay. Is it really required? Even US is indenturing F-15s now, which would last them for many decades.

AMCA, LCA MK II and later versions of these are likely to do service for India in the coming decades.

All these is appears to be based on assessing the current government and their inclination.

India will not field a frontline fixed-wing US aircraft unless it's ToT. F35 is a non-starter. Textron scorpion on the other hand can be fielded by a private company as LIFT option against HAL.

You forgot that China have over 200 J-20 Heay weight multi role fighters in the class of F-22.

dude what your problem mostly J-20 is for conforting USN in pacific/ SCS as well as Japan/S Korea, they have enough J-11 series of jet to fight with India

a) Su 30 cannot compete with J 20 which already has been inducted
b) AMCA is a smaller category of aircraft with lesser capabilities. You can't put your enggs in that basket especially since this is HAL's first gen project
c) India will have a mixed group of aircraft both stealth and non stealth
