actually it is smaller version of Saryu class, it is 75m long where Saryu is 105m long, also displacement is low
Yeah, takes redundant space out and adds cruise missiles, basically better.

What kind of Weapons will India possibly export to Vietnam which are 100% Indian?

Well we should all be level headed, Its true India will find it difficult to export sophisticated weapons to Vietnam or any other country for that matter that are 100% Indian, without Russia(or Israel/West) being a part of it/JV etc. So this makes it quite difficult for India to supply weapons to friendly countries and further its interests. This complicates matter for India, since in this case the only weapons it can sell that are really 100% Indian made, it needs to give offer concessional loans/gifts/grants for these countries to even think of purchasing them(mainly because they have better options). This makes it more difficult because countries like Vietnam have better options like Russia from which most of Indian weapons are derived/produced under JV, so most countries like Vietnam will rather purchase them directly from Russia/ukraine etc.
In this case, India has to prioritize its own national defence industries, at all cost. Since this will not only provide India with the necessary know how/Knowledge but will also help boost its economy, since a large defence industry/military complex has several spin offs to other sectors of the economy. So this will have a multiplier effects of helping India Boosts its economy/defence industry and help it further its international influence/interests by exporting such arms to friendly countries, thereby solidifying itself has a credible world power in its own rights(without depending on others) like the U.S,Russia, U.K, France, China and Germany are doing today.
Im sure with proper planning/vision and determination, India can achieve this in the coming decades.
As for this deal, its good for Vietnam, since it has nothing much to lose, but everything to gain in such a loan/credit for acquiring some defence equipments to add to its inventory. Though its not really a big defence deal like the one Vietnam often signs with Russia and other countries. But still a good start.![]()
India cannot export any weapons which are not 100% Indian due to technology in those weapons if they come from non-India sources. Such as the Brahmos Missile which has components from Russia. And not only that, Vietnam-China have a rivalry and Russia sells large numbers of Weaponry to China and so Russia will be opposed to India selling Russian weaponry to Vietnam.
So what are some truly indigenous 100% Indian Weapon Platforms which are export worthy to Vietnam?
It's displacement is roughly the same as Type-056 corvette, but packs a bigger punch due to 8 x cruise missile.
Range of 3,000 NM is sufficient for Vietnam. It's quite cheap too.
can you give me more details about it ? what will be its price ?
ok almost same as Type056corvette whose primary role is anti-submarine warfare, but post says it cost 452million USD for 4 to NigeriaMy estimates that these will cost around $70-100 mn, if these are only for anti ship role. And not going for VLS or big package of anti-air role like Barak 8.

are you planning to export Talwar class frigate ?Nigerian contract was never disclosed, and it always remain ambiguous that even it existed or not, until we deliver those ship to Nigeria.
On the other hand, if the Vietnam goes for full package of Frigate (3500 tonne) including UVLS, Klub and Barak 8, then it definitely sky rocketed to $200-$250 mn.
are you planning to export Talwar class frigate ?
just asking, so which frigate are you planning to export ?Why? Every 3500 tonne frigate in world is Talwar? BTW, Talwar is not made in India.
